Going up and down Montezume Canyone Road, I ended up taking 1000's of photos, and do not know when I'll ever be able to go through them all, again, to find this photo for you, if it even exists.<br />However, next time I get back down that road, I will make sure to look for it.Mary Cokenourhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15180741216552483451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4459662516179620594.post-63356540083088483952022-01-01T20:47:53.509-07:002022-01-01T20:47:53.509-07:00Mary, enjoyed seeing your blog, I wanted to see if...Mary, enjoyed seeing your blog, I wanted to see if you had a photo in your camera. It was of a sign over a collapsed mine that read "Atomic Mine Co.", black lettering on a white backing painted on a rock. If you came in south from Monticello into the canyon, I believe it was twenty miles down the road, past the rancher's house but before the great, washed out riverbed. Just next to a bend in the road that was recently fortified and on the east side of the road. At the top of the canyon near that is a petroglyph of three alien figures. I have been looking in my photos for the sign and the aliens but don't have them.. My boyfriend and I had the MOST wonderful drive down Montezuma Canyon Rd. last year- the lack of traffic was so peaceful. We live in northern Minnesota and your guides are so helpful. We look forward to another adventure sometime. Courtney K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04427222444477778940noreply@blogger.com
